Sie macht 3&nbsp;% der Gesamtbev\u00f6lkerung der EU-15 aus und weist einen Anteil am gemeinschaftlichen Bruttoinlandsprodukt im selben Verh\u00e4ltnis auf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die zwischen dem germanischen und romanischen Kulturkreis aufgeteilte Gro\u00dfregion liegt au\u00dferdem in der Mitte der Eisenbahnachse der europ\u00e4ischen Entwicklung und bildet ein st\u00e4dtisches,
