Are you starting a job in Luxembourg and wondering about the minimum wages in force in the Grand Duchy? Don’t panic, we’ll explain everything in this article!
In Luxembourg, the social minimum wage (SSM) is the legal minimum wage guaranteed for all employees. However, some companies have collective agreements that may set minimum wages higher than the SSM.
The social minimum wage (SSM) is set according to the employee’s level of qualification. There are two categories
Qualified workers: employees with a level equal to or higher than CATP/DAP.
Unqualified workers: i.e. those with a level of education below the certificat d’aptitude technique et professionnelle (CATP)/ diplôme d’aptitude professionnelle (DAP).
