You should know that you can continue to receive your pension in your new country of residence, provided that you complete certain formalities. Below you will find the main consequences of this change in circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pension<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>You can continue to receive your pension abroad without any impact. To do so, you must <strong>inform your pension fund in writing of your new address and of any changes to your bank details<\/strong>. You may be asked to provide proof of residence (residence certificate, rental agreement, proof of ownership, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, you must send your pension fund a <strong>life certificate<\/strong> every year in order to continue receiving your pension. This document, which confirms that you are still alive, must be validated by the competent authority in your country of residence or submitted via the \u201cMon certificat de vie\u201d application. If the certificate is not submitted within the required deadline, payment of your pension may be suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exception for Luxembourg pensions:<\/strong> the CNAP does not require a life certificate to be submitted. However, when moving abroad, you will be required to prove your new address by providing a <strong>residence certificate<\/strong> or, failing that, another official document serving the same purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Healthcare<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>You should inform your health insurance fund of your move abroad and your new address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before leaving, you should request an <strong>S1 form<\/strong> from your pension fund in your current country of residence. Once you have moved, this document will allow you to register with the social security organisation in your new country of residence and access healthcare coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you receive multiple pensions \u2013 meaning that you receive both a pension paid by a foreign social security scheme and a pension paid by your new country of residence \u2013 your healthcare coverage in that country will be provided by the latter. In this case, the S1 form is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Taxation<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The tax authorities in both your country of departure and your country of residence must be informed of your change of address. You are advised to contact them so that they can determine your <strong>tax residence<\/strong> and the applicable tax regime, taking into account the relevant <strong>tax treaty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tax treaties take into account, in particular, the <strong>nature of the income, the country of residence and the country paying the pension<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you considering moving abroad?
